Early Inspirations
My passion for photography began at age 11, leading me to countless hours spent in the darkroom throughout high school. Inspired by the iconic works of Freeman Patterson and Ansel Adams, I refined my skills, eventually attending art school at Queen's University.
Artistic Journey
My creative exploration expanded into sculpture, painting, and drawing, culminating in the opening of my gallery in a charming tourist village near Lake Huron. For 25 years, this gallery was my artistic home and professional anchor.
Digital Canvas
Alongside my gallery, I founded Contigo Studio, blending my artistic sensibilities with technical precision to create bespoke, visually compelling websites. This endeavor bridges my passion for traditional art with digital innovation, allowing me to craft unique online experiences tailored to each brand's essence.
Philosophy of Photography
To me, photography is a meditative journey, a way of deeply engaging with the world. My favorite images arise spontaneously, capturing fleeting moments and unexpected beauty with instinctual clarity. It's a dialogue between observation and creativity, resulting in photos that are both personally meaningful and universally resonant.
Shared Vision
As I continue this creative journey, my goal is to share my perspective widely, connecting with others who find meaning in the moments I capture. Inspired by Carl Rogers' insight, "What is most personal is most general," my photography invites viewers into a shared exploration of universal truths.
Photography, for me, is more than a profession—it's a lifelong pursuit of curiosity, creativity, and connection.
